About the event

A collaboration of local community members from EB Arts Coalition, AAPI of East Brunswick, Kogaracon, JellymanMedia, and the ACN NYC bring you the first of its kind in Central Jersey - an AAPI Music and Food Festival!

Kinnara is an outdoor celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander music, food, and culture.  Named after the half human, half bird mythological creature known for their musical prowess, the festival will feature industry established AAPI musicians while giving up-incoming artists and young local talent a platform to showcase and develop their craft.  Opening ceremonies will include pan-asian traditional music and dance. Food and non-musical art vendors will also be on the premises for the audience to experience.  Our mission with Kinnara is more than simply bringing a great show to East Brunswick for enjoyment.  Kinnara will serve as a platform to break down stereotypes, inspire the youth and breathe unity into our community, AAPI and non-AAPI alike.  The simple act of seeing great AAPI artists perform will widen the realm of possibilities in the minds of all those in attendance.  For our young local opening participants, this opportunity can serve as a motivational springboard toward further growth.  And lastly, this event is not meant to be an AAPI concert only for the AAPI community.  We believe that an inclusive communal experience in celebration of our cultures and artists has the power to combat hate, humanize minority groups, and breed good will and solidarity.

Headlining the event are Justin Nozuka, Alan Z, and Joe Sonza!  For further details please visit AAPI of EB.
