2023 East Brunswick Lunar New Year Celebration

Once again the Township of East Brunswick, EB Public Library, and the EB Arts Coalition are organizing the Year of the Rabbit Lunar New Year Celebration with live performances, activities, and demonstrations!  We are excited to be joined by Brunswick Square Mall in the event!

Mockingbird Melody to perform a charity concert to raise funds for Soar Over Hate - a 501(C)3 organization that serves the AAPI community to provide free culturally competent therapy to victims of anti-Asian hate incidents and monthly free self-defense classes to empower individuals to stand up against anti-Asian violence and racism.

Fong's Hung Ga Kung Fu Association will perform one of the most important traditions for Lunar New Year, Lion dances are a means of symbolizing the wishing of good fortune, warding off evils, and celebration of the new year.

The Dream Cats Dance Group will perform traditional Asian dances.

Huaxia Chinese School and Mid-Jersey Chinese School will have student performances and demonstrations for everyone to enjoy and learn about the asian culture and traditions for Lunar New Year.

EB Chinese will be providing snacks and appetizers free while supplies last 

Pop-up shop by Akihi Bubble Tea will be at the event for everyone to try a selection of their bubble tea.

Local vendors will be onsite showcasing and selling their handcrafted products.
