Kim was raised in East Brunswick and is an East Brunswick High School alumni.  She graduated from New York University with a BA in Journalism and interned with Pete Hamill at the New York Daily News. 

Currently working in the banking industry she splits her time raising her family and advocating for the arts and arts education.  Kim's artistic background includes music and dance.  From elementary school through high school she was involved with the New Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra and Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra as well as the Princeton Ballet School.  She continues to participate with these organizations with her children.  Kim is classically trained in piano and violin and has been playing since the age of 5.
