Lunar New Year is a magical celebration that celebrates traditions of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures.  The festival is filled with multicultural performances, special activities, culinary delights, beautiful decor, celebratory merchandise, and more!

2022 celebrates the Year of the Tiger at the Lunar New Year festival sponsored in part by the Township of East Brunswick and the East Brunswick Public Library!  Together we celebrate the diversity of our community with family and friends.

Mockingbird Melody (MBM) is a student run organization founded in 2011.  Most MBM members are student musicians in New Jersey who are very active in volunteer services as well as music study.  They have put together a wonderful repertoire of music in the spirit of Lunar New Year! (Showtime:  11:30-12:30)

HuaXia Chinese School is one of the local East Brunswick Chinese schools that will have students performing via video as well as in-person!  Dance solo, cello solo, and singing to ring in the new year!

The Magic of Eric Qiu will amaze everyone with his award winning magic show.  This one of a kind performance utilizes illusion, mind reading, comedy, and audience participation.  He will leave his audience amazed and the children with balloon twists!

(Showtime: 1:00-2:00pm)

Fong's Hung Ga Kung Fu Association will be performing the lion dance!  The lion dance is a traditional style of dance performed in Chinese culture and is typically part of most Chinese Kung Fu schools.  It symbolizes the wishing of good fortune and celebration of the new year!

(Showtime: 2:15 pm-2:45 pm)

The Dream Cats Group will dazzle with their traditional Asian-cultured dance.  They will be performing two dances:  Flower Woman, traditional QiPao dance with feather fans and Blooming Flowers under Full Moon, traditional QiPao dance with colorful umbrellas.
